So first you chop your tomato with your sweeet Wulstof knife.

Then you cube your fresh mozzarella.

Then you snip your basil into little pieces. This here is a neat little trick that I learned. Just put your herb of choice in the measuring cup and snip away.

I used dried oregano too. Just dump a bit into your hand and crush it up like so to release the oils from the herb.

Add salt and pepper to taste, as well as a bit of olive oil.

Mix up and your done!

YUMMMM-O!! a drizzle of olive oil and balsamic would make it perfection!--great pics-I can almost smell that fresh Basil.
Wow...this is one of my favorite things to eat in the summer. Especially with fresh tomatoes.
I'm going to try that the way you made it. Do ever add a dash of olive oil? That is a nice addition.
That does look really good, though I'd probably cut the mozzarella a little bit more.
I may have to make this next time I see some tomatoes for a good price, the cheese is much easier to come by.

I read your moms blog sometimes so I got the link from there. I just want to say toss this salad with some hot cooked rotini. The basil and fresh tomato flavours 'pop' and the cheese cubes get all melty. Yum.
